Leigh U. Bennett, DMD
Macon Dentist and Dental Sleep Medicine Provider
Dr. Leigh Bennett was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. During high school, she shadowed in a variety of medical and healthcare settings, including a dentist office. Even though she was in the early stages of researching her future career, dentistry won her heart. The ability to help a patient struggling with tooth or jaw pain, or feeling embarrassed about their smile appearance, was important and inspiring to her then and continues to be her passion today.
Dr. Bennett completed her undergraduate requirements and was accepted at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). Today, she proudly serves the Macon community by providing family, restorative and cosmetic dentistry at her private practice, Hartley Bridge Family Dentistry.
As a practicing dentist, Dr. Bennett continually expands her knowledge through advanced clinical education in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and current research in the oral health connection to physical health. Management of jaw joint disorders (TMJ/TMD) and dental sleep medicine is a special interest for Dr. Bennett. She has worked closely with medical professionals to assist patients with jaw joint and dental-facial pain, obstructive sleep apnea, snoring and sleep-disordered breathing for nearly a decade.
In 2021, Dr. Bennett launched Hartley Bridge TMJ & Dental Sleep Center in Macon. Our practice is focused on the treatment of TMJ (jaw joint) disorders and supportive oral appliance therapy for sleep disordered breathing in coordination with medical professionals.
Dr. Bennett pursues ongoing educational opportunities and enjoys interacting and learning with dentists from all over the world through her memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
